Henry Derek Bowen

Well it took me long enough to get some pictures added on to our site. Henry was born at 11:24 p.m. on Friday January 30th. I was scheduled to be induced the next morning at 6 a.m. He just didn't want to wait until Saturday. Now our boys all have different birth months but their birthdays are on the 30th, 31st and 1st. We thought that was fun. Henry was back up to his birth weight by 5 days old. He is doing really well. His brothers love to hold him and help out around the house. We were very fortunate to have good friends here to help with the boys Kerri Schow watched the boys. We thought we were just going in to get checked however they said I was ready to go. The boys slept over at Kerri and Blake's house. Our dear friend Kate Blair was kind enough to go pick up Nate's mom Anne at the airport at 9:00 and bring her to the hospital so she was there when Henry was born. That was another great blessing, to have her there all week. It was so nice having all her help with food, cleaning and the boys. Nate of course is amazing. He has taken care of everything for me. I am recovering very quickly because he has not let me lift a finger. He has the boys wrapped around his finger. They adore their dad. I love it. We are so happy to have Henry here!

Sledding at -18 degrees :}

Well we have to do it. To get out side these days we bundle up in our warmest gear and cover as much of our body and faces as possible. We have all wanted to get out and it has been so cold so we just decided to go for it. Braxton and Nate walked over to the elementary school and started sledding while I got Luke and myself ready to brave the cold and have some fun. We played on the sledding hill for a while and then Luke was done. Nate and Brax stayed longer and had a blast. Yes, it was -18. Braxton is a very tough kid and loves to play in the snow. Luke loves it too but it is hard work when it is soo cold.

Ready or not here he comes!

Well friends and family here I am! I have 4 weeks left. My doctor has scheduled me to be induced on Feb 4th. Which is the same timing that our little man's brothers decided to come. Hopefully no surprises;) I am hoping that is when he comes because Grandma Bowen is coming the day prior to that. Yea!!!!!

The North Pole

Braxton got to go to The North Pole! There is a city in Alaska called the The North Pole. Braxton got to slide on an Ice slide, see Santa, his reindeer and many more fun ice sculptures. They also went to a movie and swimming at the hotel. A very fun father and son trip!

HAPPY HOLIDAYS!

Christmas Anyone!
Yes I'm married to the Christmas Light King. Nate did another great job on our house. I love it!
Decorating our new fake, yes we broke down and finally bought a fake christmas tree. Who knew real trees in Alaska would be so expensive. Highway robbery. We love our tree though. And no mess :)

Happy Thanksgiving!

Thanskgiving was fun! Although we did miss our families. Nate and Luke made amazing, mouthwatering pies. The crusts, dare I say, rivaled Larry's famous crusts. Everyone loved the pie. We went out and built a sledding hill in the front yard and played in the snow before we went to dinner. We had dinner with our good friends Blake and Kerri Schow, they have 4 kids that the boys have made great friends with.  Dinner was great we split up the cooking and it was really delicious.
