Hanks First Steps!

Well he has taken a couple steps here and there but today Feb 9 would be the day that I consider him taking his first real steps. All of a sudden he got confidence today. He has been letting go and walking on his own from one thing to the next or at least until he falls. At least he is trying without any prompting from mom and dad. I think 10 was the most steps I counted but he made greater distances when I wasn't counting and I would just see him from the corner of my eye taking off somewhere. He is also obsessed with his tongue he loves to have it out like a little dog.

Happy Birthday Hank!

Yes it is true he is a 1 year old!
In case you can't see it there is a cupcake tree there:)

Thanks for all the calls, cards and presents!
Beth and Bjorn were there and brought the bigger than Hank teddy bear.
Our friends the Waites came. Carson and Lauren.
Hank caught on pretty quick to the unwrapping.

The boys and Nate picked out some camo wrapping paper for Hanks presents, so I went with that theme. It actually worked out well. I found a Tank pinata which was fitting since we call him "Hank the Tank".
The guy at the store said that this was a new type of pinata that you pull the strings and then one opens the bottom so there is no scary bat swinging.
Oops! I guess he was wrong. Some what of a let down. So we just tore it open and all was forgotten as the candy and toys fell.

We are so happy to have such a wonderful little boy. He is so happy and eats non-stop. He loves his older brothers, mom and dad. He is figuring out the stairs, he is great at going up. We are working on the turn and scoot. He is still working on walking. He knows he can get anywhere by crawling so it takes a lot of motivation to get him to take a couple steps on his own. He absolutely loves music. We love you Hank!

We are so Thankful!

Well Braxton got to take another trip to the ER last weekend. He is okay!

We decided to decorate for Christmas early this year since we won't be around for very long. We have all our decorations in our crawl space. Braxton decided he was board decorating so he went to get his snow clothes to shovel the driveway. When he went to get his clothes out of the closet I heard a scream,"Mom!" followed by panick. I thought he tripped and fell on some clothes. I was wrong, I had left the trap door to the crawl space open with no light on. He fell 10 feet onto his back. He immediately got up and climbed the ladder up. I probably shouldn't have let him do that, I think I was in shock as well. He was hurting pretty bad and we were concerned about any damage that may have been done to Nate took him in and for the next 5 hours hung out at the ER. After X-rays and doctors we found out he is just fine. Very sore, but bones are intact and very little bruising.

Happy Halloween

We had a fantastic Halloween! Of course the theme at our house was Star Wars. I hope that will change some day. A mom can dream. As for now I am just going with it. I decided to dress up, yes, I am Darth Vader. The kids thought it was great. We had gourmet pizza's at our friend's Dave and Heather's, she is an amazing cook. Their daughter Lauren was Leia, their son Carson was a Lion. Our other friends Jesse and Brook were there with their two boys were Boba Fett and Buzz.
After dinner we went Trunk-or-treating it was 22 degrees, the boys had their snow suits on, Brax had a big puffy winter coat on, as did most the kids, it was hard to tell what they were.
Braxton was Jengo Fett

Happy Halloween!
